ARC/INFO® 7.1 Coverage Format

Coverage format is 100% compatible with INFO Classic, INFO-32, INFO-Server,  INFO-ODBC and is portable across all Unix and PC platforms. 

Many GIS users or specialists only use INFO in a minimal way, some others will use it more frequently, particularly when the need arises to make corrections, add attributes or import/export data. 

While ARC/INFO® is supplied with a basic version INFO, we supply a range of tools to aid in data management:

• Classic  v9.70    The professional's ARC/INFO 7.0 compatible INFO database with a host of extensions and improvements and enhancements aimed at the PC market.

•   a highly unusual development studio hybrid of a Windows GUI incorporating a visual editor, grids for data and schema presentation, query wizard, interactive console giving access to all INFO facilitities, and a Browser for implementing Internet style user interfaces incorporating HTML, DHTML, XML, JavaScript, VB Script, Plug-Ins etc all without the requirement for to run a Web Server.

• -Server  a server version of INFO v9.70 with specific extensions to optimise its use for thread safe database applications implemented through the  CGI interface of a web server. (Under development)

• and use any of a thousand Windows applications for desktop data analysis, charting, integration, browsing, querying etc.

• Visual Basic/MapObjects You can use the full power of the ActiveX API through a proper VB TableObject with .

• Web Server  You can use all your standard IIS tools and or INFO-Server (Under development) to serve up the data along with the maps, (and offer live updates).
